Job summary

SP+ is seeking a Maintenance Porter to support facility upkeep at the San Jose location. The role involves cleaning, basic maintenance, and assisting customers within the garage and office areas.

Responsibilities include routine repairs requests, safety checks on gate and ticket systems, and daily upkeep of the facility. A high school diploma and a valid CA driver’s license are required; some shifts may include weekends or evenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience in facility maintenance, electrical and painting may be required depending on assignment.
• Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Availability for special shifts, including potential 3rd shift or weekends.
• Ability to read, write and interpret English and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks per checklists and supervisor directions to remove dirt and debris.
• Walk garage daily to identify and address maintenance issues.
• Sweep entrances, clean rails and surfaces across all levels, and empty trashcans.
• Paint surfaces as directed to maintain neat and clean appearance.
• Replace burned-out bulbs and handle oil spill cleanup.
• Submit repair or maintenance requests as needed.
• Inspect safety items like gate arms and ticket systems for proper operation.
• Provide ticket counts to the Manager and maintain inventory of janitorial supplies.
• Operate basic equipment (sweepers, scrubbers, small tools) as applicable.
