Job summary

SP+ in Redwood City is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to monitor streets, lots and campuses to enforce parking policies and support related clerical duties.

You will provide excellent customer service, issue citations and warnings, relocate vehicles as directed, and assist maintenance and event staff. Candidates must be 18+, have a valid driver's license, and be able to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Must have strong independent judgment and provide excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of local geography and parking regulations.
• Ability to operate a hand-held computer.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle or bicycle.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and stand/walk for long periods.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Monitor streets and lots to enforce parking policies and assist with clerical duties.
• Provide customer service and answer questions about directions, events, and policies.
• Issue citations and warnings; impound or relocate vehicles as directed.
• Train enforcement officers in parking-related duties.
• Assist maintenance staff with parking equipment and facility upkeep.
• Assist event staff with parking for events and traffic control.
• Assist with permit sales data entry and mailings.
• Create schedules and daily deployments.
• Review and gather parking-related data.
• Other related duties as assigned.
