Job summary

University of Mary Washington is seeking a Parking Enforcement and Support Specialist to guide the campus community on parking services and enforce regulations. You will issue citations, register vehicles, and issue permits while assisting with signage and general office duties.

The role requires effective communication, strong customer service, and the ability to work shifts 7 AM–7 PM Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend hours. Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Some related job experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in customer service or parking management preferred, especially in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Aid and direct the campus community and visitors regarding parking services.
• Enforce University parking regulations and issue citations as needed.
• Place signage, including reserved and temporary parking signs.
• Accurately register vehicles and issue parking permits.
• Perform general office duties and other duties as assigned.
• Familiarize students on UMW policies/regulations concerning operation of UMW/state owned vans, including behind the wheel familiarization.
