The University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama seeks police officers to protect life and property on campus, enforce laws and university regulations, and maintain order through routine patrols, investigations, traffic control, and safety monitoring. Officers respond to calls, inspect facilities, monitor parking, report findings, and coordinate with other agencies.
APOSTC standards and a valid driver’s license are required; entry-level positions welcome.
This position performs police work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and regulations on the UNA campus. Employees in this job classification perform police and patrol work in accordance with federal, state, county and municipal laws as well as university rules and regulations. Work normally consists of routine patrol, preliminary investigations, traffic-control duties, maintenance of order and observing for irregular activities. Persons selected for this position are police officers and must comply with all rules, regulations, and policies of the Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission (APOSTC).
