Job summary

The City of Fort Worth Transportation Public Works is seeking a Parking Compliance Technician II to patrol Central Business District and surrounding areas, enforcing city codes on parking and providing citizen assistance.

The role emphasizes outdoor work, leading field staff, issuing citations, and maintaining safe curb use. Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma, TX driver’s license, and CTA certification within six months, with weekend/holiday shifts possible.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Two years of experience related to parking control, traffic services, recordkeeping/report writing, customer service, or related field.
Valid Texas driver’s license.
Valid CTA certification within six months of employment.
Must pass physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Participate in selection, supervision, training and evaluation of subordinates.
Lead and coordinate the work of team personnel.
Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and parking policies, and issue citations and warnings for non-compliance.
Communicate parking best practices to the public for safe and efficient use of on-street curb space.
Check for proper permit for crews working in street or right-of-way.
Interact with hostile or irate violators and handle difficult situations; notify police if needed.
Report damaged meters or signals via MYFW app and assist with meter revenue as needed.
Work outdoors predominantly; manage time and maintain discretion while dealing with citizens.
