Job summary

ASM Global, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, seeks a Parking Cashier at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, LA. This part-time, on-call role reports to the Director of Finance and focuses on accurate cash handling and courteous customer service.

Primary duties include operating the card machine, cash handling, and end-of-shift reconciliations. The position requires reliability, proper uniform, and the ability to work flexible hours

POSITION: Parking Cashier DEPARTMENT: Finance REPORTS TO: Director of Finance FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt Summary ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Parking Cashier at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. Under direction of the Director of Finance, the Part Time Parking Cashier team member's primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with ASM policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operation of credit card transaction machine.

Counting of cash and providing accurate change on a timely basis.

Perform exceptional customer service.

Direct and assist patrons Balance accountability of issued bank and cash received and credit card payments.

Responsible for reconciling credit cards and cash payments at the end of the shift.

Report to work when scheduled, on time, in proper and clean uniform, including badge Personal appearance and grooming must conform to SCC dress code.

Responsible for reporting any issues to management that impede the flow of parking/traffic.

Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions

The working hours are scheduled based on the needs the facility.

PART-TIME ON-CALL scheduling.

There is no guarantee of hours on a weekly basis.

Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to work as scheduled.

Maintain a client service oriented attitude.

Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends and holidays and can work flex ible schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to pass a background check to include a credit history report and meet corporate minimum requirements.
• Must be able to sit/stand for considerable lengths of time.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• One years' experience in a customer service environment
• Six months experience in a retail or other cash-handling position

Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to speak fluent English and communicate clearly with staff & guest.
• Must be able to work assigned shifts including, nights, weekends & holidays as needed.
• Work independently, exercising good judgment and initiative.
• Follow all oral and written instructions including all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations and emergence procedures established at the facility.
• Must have sufficient math ability and knowledge to accurately count and handle money at all times.
• Must have basic working knowledge of cash handling procedure and have at least 1 year cash handling experience.

Computer Skills

• Ability to operate a calculator & credit card machine.
