Job summary

Legends, at the Shreveport Convention Center, is seeking part-time Event Staff to support events. You will act as ticket taker/usher, assist with setup, and help attendees, including accessibility accommodations.

The role requires reliability, strong customer service, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, including nights and weekends. High School diploma or GED is required; prior related experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 1-3 months related experience or training preferred.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer relations and communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work with others.
• Flexible and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ticket taker and usher; distribute programs and escort patrons to seats.
• Assist with pre-event setup and last-minute needs.
• Provide accommodations for patrons with disabilities and special needs.
• Direct traffic and monitor parking areas for security and safety.
• Work extended hours including nights and weekends as required.

The Event Staff performs various duties in connection with scheduled events.**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:* Serve as ticket taker and/or usher distributing programs and escorting patrons to their appropriate seats.* Assist with last-minute pre-event needs, such as setting up, decorating, finding materials, etc.* Provide special accommodation for wheelchairs and other physically handicapped patrons, senior citizens, students and groups.* Act as a parking attendant, directing traffic, and watching over lot to ensure security.
