Qualifications

• Drive, park and manage patient, visitor, staff and employee vehicles safely.
• Assist with parking management using cones and signage and by directing drivers.

• Parking Attendants report to the Security Supervisor over parking.
• They are required to drive and park patient, visitor, medical staff and employee vehicles in a safe manner.
• They are required to assist with the management of parking, through the use of cones, signage and by giving direction to drivers.
• They are expected to follow direction and be attentive to details.
• They are expected to work in all types of weather.
• They are expected to communicate clearly both verbally and through email.
• They are expected to be flexible with changing traffic conditions and parking congestion.
• They are to report any unusual occurrences to the appropriate individuals.
• They are responsible for enforcing all established hospital policies and procedures.
• Important dimensions of this position consist of professional commitment, interpersonal skills, safety, and good public/customer relations.

Experience

• Ability to drive standard and automatic vehicles required.
• Previous experience as a parking attendant or valet strongly preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills and strong verbal communication.

Good customer service skills

• Good customer service skills are required.
• Clear handwriting, good spelling, ability to multitask, and scheduling flexibility strongly preferred.

Education

• High school diploma, G.E.D. or combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.

Must pass orientation and assigned competencies.

Licensure/Certifications

• Must possess a valid California driver's license.
• In addition to the above CA driver's license, the following are required: An acceptable driving record of three points or less and participation in the DMV pull-notice program.

Shift Differentials

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.

• Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $1.48
• Hourly Night Shift Differential: $2.22
