Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a valet parking attendant in the Toluca Lake area. You will valet park vehicles for patients, visitors and faculty and maintain orderly operations during shifts.

Responsibilities include processing tickets, documenting prior damages, collecting payments, and safely parking cars in the underground lot while tagging and storing keys in a secure box.

Qualifications

• Currently possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License.
• Ability to maintain professional public relations and a positive image.
• Ability to work diplomatically with the public and staff.
• Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with security and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to assess emergencies and plan/execute an appropriate solution.
• Ability to clearly express ideas in writing or verbally.
• Ability to learn new software.
• Physically able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to operate general office equipment.

Under the supervision of the Valet Parking Supervisor, you will valet park vehicles for Toluca Lake UCLA Medical Center patients, visitorsand faculty and stack park staff vehicles. Your responsibilities include:

• Maintain excellent customerservice standards as outlined by department policies and procedures.
• Issue ticket receipts after inspecting and documenting any priorvehicle damage.
• Retrieve vehicles in a timely manner.
• Collect andsecure cash and issue receipts.
• Write down the license plate, make of car & exact location of where car is parked on valet ticket.
• Park vehiclein underground lot across the street.
• Tag keys and store in key box.

Salary Range: $22.12 - $26.42 / Hourly

Effective June 22, 2025, employees represented by the AFSCME Union will receive a minimum wage of $25.

Qualifications

• Currently possess and maintain a valid California Drivers License.

• Ability to recognize the importance of dealing diplomatically with the public, and the importance of a good public appearance.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with security employees, police officers, and Medical Center employees.
• Demonstrated ability to assess problematic or emergency situations and plan / execute an appropriate solution based on established guidelines or policies.
• Ability to clearly and concisely express ideas using appropriate vocabulary and spelling.
• Ability to use and learn new software.
• Ability to relay information, either in writing or verbally, in a professional manner.
• Ability to independently resolve issues working within set policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of applicable geography in order to expedite calls and to be an effective information source.
