Virginia State Parks is seeking a part-time Contact Ranger at Caledon State Park. The role involves welcoming visitors, handling fees, and providing information about amenities and interpretive programs.

You will work 3-4 days per week, including weekends and holidays, with year-round, part-time hours. Responsibilities include operating a cash register, assisting with parking and events, stocking the office, and delivering excellent customer service in a park setting.

Qualifications

• Provide high-quality customer service and communicate verbally with guests.
• Able to operate a computer and cash register.
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate a computer, cash register, and multi-line phone system.
• Provide accurate information on park fees, directions, pricing, annual passes, and programs.
• Ensure the office and sales area are stocked and maintained daily.
• Sells merchandise and keeps sales area stocked.
• Work primarily in the Visitor Center and assist with events as needed.
• Perform other office duties as assigned.
