Job summary

Virginia State Parks is hiring a Contact Ranger at Kiptopeke State Park to support daily operations and guest services. The role focuses on administrative tasks, office duties, and coordinating with teams to ensure smooth operations while delivering excellent guest experiences.

The position requires flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, with emphasis on customer service and park knowledge. This is a wage/seasonal role with limited hours and no benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience providing high-quality customer service.
• Experience working with a computer/cash register.
• General knowledge of office and computer operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service.
• Perform clerical duties such as computer, cash register, copier, and handheld radio.
• Responsible for reconciling daily revenue on the cash register.
• Possess familiarity with park rules, trails, campground, and facilities.
• Performs daily cleaning of the contact station, office area, and restroom.
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
• Must have reliable transportation.
