Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation and/or Natural Science; one year of related experience.
• Equivalency option: equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Preferred KSAs: interpreting laws, researching and conducting educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and enforces state park laws and regulations.
• Patrols and coordinates with local, state or federal agencies as needed.
• Conducts law enforcement actions and presents evidence in court.
• Provides educational programs and interpretive activities for the public.
• Manages staff and may serve as acting park superintendent when required.
• Responds to safety or law enforcement issues and provides first aid.
