City of Jacksonville is seeking two Park Rangers in the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department. This clerical, customer support and semi-skilled maintenance work involves upkeep and repair of public parks grounds.

Responsibilities include following standardized routines, maintaining records, and operating equipment. Benefits include health/dental/vision and paid holidays, with public service loan forgiveness eligibility after ten years.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of office and cash handling practices.
• General maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Knowledge of rules, regulations, principles, and procedures governing construction and maintenance activities at a public park.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and occupational hazards for construction and maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of first aid principles and methods and skill in their application.
• Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
• Skill in preparing and maintaining maintenance and revenue records and reports.
• Skill in operating equipment, tools, and vehicles.
• Ability to operate and maintain public parks and related facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor tasks in upkeep and repair of public parks grounds.
• Work requires knowledge of uninvolved standardized work routines used in maintaining park facilities.
