Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/First Aid or AED certification or ability to obtain before employment.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of rules and safety procedures for indoor/outdoor sports.
• Knowledge of equipment care and basic maintenance.
• Ability to plan and organize recreational activities.
• Ability to supervise groups and handle crowd control.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activity in parks and facilities to ensure compliance with city ordinances and policies.
• Coordinate schedules for pavilion, field, and rentals; provide friendly customer service.
• Assist with Franklin Gateway Sports Complex activities and other events.
• Provide light maintenance such as trash removal and light cleaning as needed.
• Ensure safety of facilities; report issues and manage security measures.
• Enforce city ordinances, rules, and regulations.
• Greet the public and provide information by in person, phone, or email.
• Resolve public issues regarding parks, facilities, and events.
• Perform opening/closing procedures for facilities as needed.
• Assist with event setup, supervision, breakdown, and follow-up.
• Stay informed about department activities and community happenings.
