Job summary

Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services is seeking a Parks Assistant for the Jim R Miller event center in Marietta, GA. This position is in the PARKS Department and requires a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required plus one year of related experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work and lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass, plants flowers and shrubs, weeds, edges, and maintains park areas.
• Performs maintenance and construction tasks on facilities and equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and custodial duties in parks and facilities.
• Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies and transports them as needed.
• Operates county vehicles and various power tools to complete tasks.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
