Job summary

NYC Parks is seeking a Community Coordinator for a 9‑month term to support the Permit Office, manage revenue tracking, process payments, and handle tennis-related permits and store merchandise. You will interact with the public and assist with online reservations, contributing to smooth park services.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience, or a high school diploma with substantial related experience. Residency rules may apply for city employees.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience, or a high school diploma and six years of related experience, or equivalent.
  • Equivalent experience must include at least one year of the above experience.
  • Residency and city service requirements apply for New York City candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Permit Office with wide latitude for independent initiative.
  • Collect and track revenue on spreadsheets.
  • Scan checks and make bank deposits.
  • Process tennis permits and street tree payments.
  • Order and sell merchandise for the Parks Store.
  • Interact with the public.
  • Monitor, track and schedule online tennis reservations.
