DEPT OF PARKS & RECREATION in New York City seeks an Administrative Staff Analyst to oversee concession opportunities, sponsorships, and fundraising supporting park priorities. You will lead policy development for large events and coordinate with legal, finance and city partners.

Responsibilities include directing concessions licensing, evaluating proposals, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance. You will mentor staff, shape interagency collaborations, and drive revenue-generating

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with relevant public administration, economics or finance focus and 2+ years in budget/financial work;18 months in managerial capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years in budget or financial analysis, including 18 months in supervisory roles.
  • Associate degree with 6+ years of professional experience in fiscal or administrative areas.
  • High school diploma with 8+ years of professional experience in management or supervisor roles.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee concession and business development opportunities on parkland; manage events and athletic field permitting policies.
  • Guide RFP/RFEI/RFB processes, project management, and concession license agreements.
  • Review proposals, negotiate terms with proposers, and coordinate with Parks' legal staff and other agencies.
  • Serve as senior liaison to FCRC, MOCS and Comptroller on revenue contract matters.
  • Govern policies for permitting large-scale citywide events and coordinate interagency meetings.
  • Lead revenue-generating strategies in coordination with Deputy Commissioner.
  • Oversee permits, schedules and event operations and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Guide Development team to cultivate donors and fundraising opportunities.
  • Represent the Agency externally to city/state/federal agencies and nonprofits.
  • Manage and mentor staff; spearhead special projects as needed.
