Job summary

Audubon Nature Institute seeks a Park Operations Manager to lead the Park Operations team at the New Orleans campuses. You will oversee landscape and janitorial services, manage staff, and coordinate with departments and vendors to deliver safe, clean and engaging parks for guests.

You'll participate in strategic planning and events, directing day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, training, and reliable service across venues along the riverfront.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in operations, grounds, horticulture, or related field.
  • Demonstrated success managing teams.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate vehicles (golf carts and gas-powered utility vehicles).
  • Outdoor work in varied weather conditions.
  • Comfort engaging with a diverse audience.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, onboard, schedule, train, coach, and supervise Park Operations staff.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Ensure clean, safe, and enjoyable park guest experience.
  • Support campus events and initiatives; manage schedules and priorities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and teams.
  • Serve as event manager and lead on-duty as needed.
  • Participate in strategic and financial planning; promote professional development.
