Job summary

New Orleans City Park is seeking a Full-Time Special Projects Attendant in New Orleans, LA. The role focuses on keeping park grounds clean, addressing debris, vandalism, and assisting with special projects assigned by the city park team.

Essential duties include litter removal, shelter maintenance, pressure washing, Dog Park upkeep, equipment care, and signage replacement. Must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Louisiana driver’s license. Flexible schedule may be required.

Qualifications

• A valid Louisiana driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Removal of large, unusual litter and debris from park grounds.
• Maintenance and cleaning of shelters and event spaces.
• Pressure washing of surfaces, playgrounds, benches, and other areas to remove gum and vandalism.
• Maintenance of the Dog Park, gutters, and routine tasks.
• Maintenance of Special Projects equipment and vehicles.
• Drain and catch basin cleaning and maintenance ahead of bad weather.
• Assist with large machinery for debris removal and rock spreading.
• Repair and replacement of signage around the park.
• Collaborate with Arborist, Irrigation, Horticulture, and other teams as needed.
