Job summary

LSU New Orleans is seeking an Assistant Production & Operations Manager to coordinate custodial operations, event production activities, and facility services at the Lakefront Arena. You will supervise custodial staff, part-time personnel, contractors, and vendors while ensuring a safe, clean, and event-ready venue.

The role covers equipment management, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness, with responsibilities in operational oversight during absences and heavy event loads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facilities/related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years supervisory experience in facility operations or similar.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee custodial operations and third-party staff to ensure event readiness.
• Coordinate venue set-ups, rehearsals, and event conversions.
• Review production specs, seating layouts, and staffing needs.
• Manage equipment, repairs, and maintenance for facility readiness.
• Ensure safety, ADA, fire codes, and OSHA compliance.
• Lead vendor and contractor relationships and post-event reporting.
