Job summary

The Town of Palm Beach seeks a Park Crew Foreman to lead daily operations at Phipps Ocean Park, ensuring safe, clean, and compliant park environments. This role coordinates with the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach and a contracted landscape vendor to maintain native ecosystems and high-traffic amenities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; three years of park maintenance or public works experience, including at least one year in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
• Experience handling public interactions and code/rule enforcement in a public park setting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of park operations, safety standards, and grounds maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, and directs daily activities of Park Attendants and seasonal staff.
• Interacts with residents and visitors to address inquiries, complaints, and service requests.
• Monitors safety, enforces park rules, and coordinates with code enforcement or police as needed.
• Responds to emergencies and incidents, coordinating with supervisors for rapid resolution.
• Reports operational updates, equipment needs, and maintenance logs to the Golf Course Superintendent.
• Liaises with Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach and landscape contractor for park projects.
