Job summary

The Town of Palm Beach is seeking a Park Attendant to support operations at Phipps Ocean Park and adjacent facilities. You will help protect a capital asset, assist with daily logistics, and coordinate with the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach and contractors to maintain park integrity.

Responsibilities include park maintenance, guest services, rule enforcement, incident response, and routine reporting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid Florida Driver's License required.
Experience in park maintenance or public works is desirable.

Responsibilities

Park Operations: perform daily maintenance and opening/closing procedures to keep facilities safe and presentable.
Public Relations & Guest Services: interact with residents and visitors professionally and address routine concerns.
Rules Enforcement & Compliance: monitor activities and educate visitors on regulations.
Incident Response & Problem Solving: respond to routine issues and report significant problems.
Reporting & Coordination: maintain maintenance records and report safety concerns to supervisor.
Contract Support & Facility Maintenance: monitor landscape contractors and perform light cleaning as needed.
Infrastructure & Pathway Maintenance: maintain pathways and ADA accessible routes.
Park Stewardship & Asset Protection: inspect facilities and report repair needs.
Resource Management & Logistics: assist with event setup, cleanup, and trash collection.
Emergency & Storm Response: participate in storm prep and post-storm cleanup.
