Job summary

The Town of Palm Beach is seeking a Park Attendant to support the Phipps Ocean Park and Recreation Department. You will help protect the park’s capital investment, assist with daily operations, and serve as a friendly on-site ambassador for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities include maintenance, opening/closing procedures, public safety, and coordinating with the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach. A high school diploma or GED and a Florida driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• 3 years of park maintenance or related public works experience desirable.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily park maintenance and cleaning to keep facilities safe and welcoming.
• Open/close park gates and buildings; monitor safety and cleanliness.
• Interact with visitors, provide information, and resolve routine concerns.
• Enforce park rules and report violations to supervisors.
• Coordinate with contractors and park staff during events and maintenance.
• Assist in incident response, hazard reporting, and basic landscaping tasks.
• Support environmental stewardship and asset protection across park facilities.
