Job summary

City of Sunny Isles Beach is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Support for the City’s parks. The role spans patrolling, enforcing rules, assisting the public, and performing general facility and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities include security checks, basic first aid, and support for events. A valid Florida driver's license is required; CDL with passenger endorsement is preferred. High school diploma and 2+ years of related experience are recommended.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 2+ years of related experience performing similar duties in facility or park maintenance.
• One year related coursework or experience in park management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor park activities and enforce city rules and regulations.
• Provide information and assistance to the public about City services.
• Ensure visitors follow maintenance rules during special events and in parks.
• Perform security checks on buildings.
• Provide basic first aid and CPR as needed.
• Perform daily inspection of facilities and grounds, report issues.
• Assist with setup/breakdown for events and maintain logs.
• Operate and maintain park tools and equipment safely.
• Handle maintenance tasks in grounds areas and operate city vehicles.
• Perform general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, painting) as needed.
