Job summary

Department of Game, Fish & Parks in South Dakota is offering a Summer Park Management Intern position at Lake Preston - Lake Thompson Recreation Area. The role provides hands-on experience in park operations, customer service, and maintenance, with on-site housing available if needed.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student in upcoming semester.
• Preference may be given to applicants who are juniors/seniors, SD residents, and students of SD institutions.

Responsibilities

• Learn the Point of Sale system and troubleshoot issues for other employees.
• Provide customer service and educate visitors on park rules and enforce them as needed.
• Assist with basic building and grounds maintenance including operation of power tools, riding mowers and chainsaws.
