Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrollment as a part-time or full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute.
• By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their program.
• Preference may be given to juniors/seniors, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation of entrance stations, campgrounds, and grounds maintenance.
• Manage money collection and balance permits.
• Supervise staff and provide direction for campground operations.
• Coordinate with visitors and answer questions during daily operations.
• Lead seasonal employees in the absence of the park manager.
• Develop new skills related to park management through hands-on tasks.
• On-site housing is available for interns.
