El Paso County in Colorado Springs is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker to perform a range of grounds and facilities tasks and support park operations. The role requires handling turf, irrigation, minor construction, and equipment maintenance in all weather conditions.
The position is Monday–Thursday, 6:00 am–4:30 pm, with in-person work as an essential function. Two years of relevant experience and a Colorado CDL within six months are preferred, along with a valid driver’s license.
$48,000.00 - $54,000.00 annually

Performs semi-skilled labor tasks associated with park maintenance, operations, and construction programs. Employment is subject to the terms, conditions, and policies detailed in the Personnel Policies Manual (PPM). This position requires regular in-person presence as an essential job function.
This classification does not have supervisory authority and requires no supervision or direction of others.
Receives intermittent supervision. This classification normally performs the job by following established standard operating procedures and/or policies. Regular direction, guidance, and coaching from supervisor is expected. There is a choice of the appropriate procedure or policy to apply to duties. Performance reviewed periodically.
Duties are performed both indoors and outside in the field in various weather conditions. Requires physical effort to perform frequent lifting, bending, and climbing. Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Physical hazards may be present when mixing or working with chemicals, power tools, and motorized equipment. May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Subject to drug and alcohol testing.
