El Paso County in Colorado Springs is seeking a Park Maintenance Worker to perform semi-skilled labor in park maintenance, operations, and construction programs. The role requires a valid Colorado Class A CDL within six months and a valid driver’s license, with a typical schedule Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Two years of grounds maintenance experience and knowledge of horticulture and equipment are essential.

Hiring Range: $ 48,000.00 - $54,000 .00 annually
The anticipated work schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 6 :00 am – 4:30 pm, subject to change.

Performs semi-skilled labor tasks associated with park maintenance, operations, and construction programs. Employment is subject to the terms, conditions, and policies detailed in the Personnel Policies Manual (PPM). This position requires regular in-person presence as an essential job function.
Supervision Exercised: This classification does not have supervisory authority and requires no supervision or direction of others.
Supervision Received: Receives intermittent supervision. This classification normally performs the job by following established standard operating procedures and/or policies. Regular direction, guidance, and coaching from supervisor is expected. There is a choice of the appropriate procedure or policy to apply to duties. Performance reviewed periodically.
Duties are performed both indoors and outside in the field in various weather conditions. Requires physical effort to perform frequent lifting, bending, and climbing. Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Physical hazards may be present when mixing or working with chemicals, power tools, and motorized equipment. May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Subject to drug and alcohol testing.
