The Parks Maintenance Technician I performs general upkeep and cleaning of park facilities, public rights-of-way and medians; performs landscape maintenance including irrigation maintenance including drip systems, mowing, watering, pruning, weed control and facility/equipment repairs; operates a variety of motorized equipment; operates a variety of hand and power tools. Off season work includes snow removal for various city facilities as well as repair and maintenance of parks and playground equipment. Position may direct the daily work of seasonal employees.

Category A-Standard Local Travel: This position requires occasional local travel within the County. Employees may be expected to walk or drive short distances to attend meetings, trainings, or perform work at other city buildings or partner sites.
