Job summary

Woodridge Park District is seeking a Maintenance - Level 2 staff member to perform general maintenance across parks, buildings, and related facilities, including turf, trees, ponds, and playgrounds. The role supports the Parks Maintenance Manager on major projects.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and obtain licenses within defined timeframes; supervision of seasonal workers; strong safety practices and ability to operate heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Illinois Non CDL Class C License within 6 months of hire.
• Pesticide Operator’s License within 12 months of hire.
• PDRMA playground safety certification within 12 months of hire.
• First-aid certification within 12 months of hire.
• Adult CPR/AED certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate park maintenance vehicles and motorized equipment.
• Maintain turf, trees, buildings, pathways, and signage.
• Oversee seasonal workers and crews.
• Address safety hazards and enforce safety rules.
• Assist with special events and on-call snow shifts.
