Job summary

Orangevale Recreation & Park District seeks a Park Maintenance II to perform skilled irrigation, pool, and grounds maintenance across district facilities. The role involves installing and repairing irrigation components, managing controllers, and maintaining pool systems while ensuring safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate has multiple years in park maintenance, a High School diploma or equivalent, and will obtain CPO or AFO certification within six months.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPO or AFO certification must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in park/facility maintenance and irrigation systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain irrigation systems including controllers, valves, and pumps.
• Program and manage irrigation controllers.
• Operate trenching equipment or backhoe for irrigation trenches as needed.
• Maintain pool-related systems and logs of pool chemical checks.
• Perform general park grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, pruning, cleaning grounds.
• Train staff and volunteers in maintenance methods and safety procedures.
