Job summary

Jurupa Area Recreation & Parks District is seeking a Park and Facilities Maintenance Worker to help maintain outdoor spaces and buildings. The role includes irrigation upkeep, routine repairs, custodial duties, and basic construction tasks across parks and facilities.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of maintenance experience; a California driver’s license and CPR/First Aid are preferred. Candidates must be ready for outdoor work and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of experience using tools/equipment for grounds and building maintenance.
• Bilingual is a plus and strong reading/comprehension skills are required.
• Ability to read maps, drawings, and blueprints; basic math and reporting are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform irrigation system maintenance, small repairs, and routine upkeep of parks and facilities.
• Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry, and custodial tasks as needed.
• Operate vehicles and irrigation-related equipment, and document repairs and labor hours.
