Zusammenfassung

The St. Charles County Parks Department is seeking a Park Ranger (non-commissioned) to provide excellent customer service, lead interpretive programs, and educate visitors about park rules and natural and cultural resources.

You will conduct patrols, assist at events, manage safety procedures, collaborate with ArcGIS, and help maintain park facilities and equipment while ensuring parks are safe and welcoming.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation or related discipline.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum one year of related park experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.

Aufgaben

• Provide excellent customer service and public interaction in the park system.
• Deliver interpretive programs, guided walks, talks and activities for visitors.
• Design, plan and provide educational programs for schools, teachers, and community groups.
• Assist at special events and programs; manage park operations and safety procedures.
• Manage park security such as locks, alarms, and building access; monitor safety compliance.
• Collaborate with ArcGIS to record trails and update park information.
• Maintain park kiosks with updated maps and flyers; update attendance data.
• Patrol parks for safety, report incidents and assist in emergency responses.
