Job summary

Montgomery County Pennsylvania is seeking a Park Ranger to provide public information, safety, and resource protection across division facilities. The role includes education on recreational opportunities, enforcement of rules, and organizing interpretive programming.

The incumbent will perform routine patrols by various means, assist agencies as needed, and maintain logs and reports while supporting maintenance tasks. Fieldwork and weekend hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in park operations, outdoor education, or emergency services is preferred.
• Must be eighteen years of age or older and legally eligible to work.
• Must read/write/speak English and communicate clearly with the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide visitor services with education and information on recreation and safety.
• Enforce division rules and regulations and report incidents as needed.
• Organize recreational and interpretive programming for the public.
• Conduct routine patrols by vehicle, bicycle, foot, or boat in various weather conditions.
• Assist local, county, state, and federal agencies as required.
• Complete daily logs, incident reports, and maintenance request forms.
