Job summary

Frederick County Government is seeking an entry-level Park Maintenance Worker to support maintenance, upkeep, and improvement of county parks and facilities. Responsibilities include grounds upkeep, facility cleaning, minor repairs, and assisting with snow removal and event setup, under supervision.

Position is full-time, 40 hours per week, 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m., non-exempt with full benefits, and requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, and landscaping.
• Clean and maintain park facilities such as restrooms and shelters.
• Assist with minor construction, repairs, and equipment installation.
• Remove trash and hazardous materials and operate tools safely.
• Support seasonal operations including snow removal and events.
