Qualifications

• At least 1 year of grounds maintenance or related experience.
• Experience with grass care, shrubs, and landscaping vegetation.
• Experience operating commercial weight vehicles and maintenance tools.
• Ability to complete written work orders and reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of recreation and park grounds and facilities.
• Plant, water, cultivate, spray, and cut grass on park grounds.
• Upkeep and repair turf, trees, and shrubbery.
• Lay out, construct, and rebuild athletic fields, parks, and playgrounds.
• Install playground equipment, posts, and backstops.
• Erect and repair fences, signs, and benches.
• Remove debris from park and playground areas.
• Repair sidewalks, drinking fountains, and water lines.
• Participate in countywide snow removal operations.
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, welding, electrical work.
• Operate tractors, mowers, and related equipment; maintain tools.
• Drive commercial weight vehicles to transport equipment.
