Job summary

The City of Delray Beach is seeking a semi-skilled maintenance worker to perform grounds and building upkeep, including mowing, cleaning, and basic repairs. You will operate mowers and other equipment, assist in landscaping tasks, and help ensure parks and facilities are well-maintained for public use.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of heavy manual labor experience, and a valid Florida driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience doing heavy manual labor.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License.
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance and turf maintenance.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings, grounds and parks; perform cleaning, painting and litter control.
• Operate vehicles, mowers and related equipment; use tree trimming tools as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on equipment.
• Prepare daily written reports and keep records as required.
• Assist in general grounds work and upkeep of facilities.
