Job summary

South Suburban Parks and Recreation in Centennial area is seeking a Park Maintenance Technician to support turf care, irrigation, tree and shrub maintenance, and general facility upkeep across multiple parks. You may work weekends, evenings, holidays, and snow watch as needed.

The role involves operating various maintenance equipment, assisting with district events, and ensuring safety and quality in all tasks. A high school diploma and valid Colorado driver license are required.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year progressive skilled labor experience in park/grounds maintenance with emphasis on turf, irrigation, and facilities.
• Valid Colorado Driver License or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform cultural maintenance for irrigated turf grass parks including mowing, aeration, fertilization, and irrigation.
• Assist in maintenance of trees/shrubs including planting, pruning, weed/pest control, and bed maintenance.
• Maintain park grounds and facilities, clean litter, and operate trash/recycling equipment and receptacles.
• Inspect irrigation systems, perform repairs to mainlines, valves, laterals, heads, and pumps as needed.
• Assist with event setup, deliveries, and staffing for facility rentals and allocations.
• Complete daily activity reports and attend staff meetings, trainings, and safety orientations.
