Job summary

Moore County is seeking a Park Maintenance worker to care for park grounds, ballfields and walking trails. You will operate equipment, prepare fields for play, and perform painting and repairs as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to obtain a Pesticide Applicator License within one year. A valid NC driver's license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of professional grounds maintenance experience.
• Ability to obtain Pesticide Applicator License within 1 year of employment.
• Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Driver's License.
• Background check, pre-employment drug test, and post offer physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of park grounds, ballfields, trails and related public areas.
• Operate mower, blower, field prep machine, tractor, truck and trailer.
• Assist in storm cleanup and debris removal; trim, prune, fertilize and irrigate.
