Job summary

The Town of Holly Springs Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a part-time park maintenance assistant to join the park maintenance team in Holly Springs, NC. The role involves maintaining Town parks, athletic fields, and greenways through skilled grounds work.

You will perform mowing, edging, and trimming, line fields for practices and games, assist with fencing, boardwalks, and trails, operate hand and power tools, and help with setup and cleanup for events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• At least two years of experience in park maintenance, landscaping, or related work.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Weekend shifts may be required for events or tournaments.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
• Line athletic fields for practices and games.
• Assist with construction and repair projects such as fencing, boardwalks, and trails.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and motorized equipment.
• Support setup and cleanup for Town events and programs.
