Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a part-time Grounds and Facilities Technician for El Paso Water Parks. The role entails maintaining lawns, landscaping, irrigation systems, and pool decks, with hands-on operation of mowers, trimmers, pressure washers, and related equipment.

The candidate will conduct inspections, support seasonal opening/closing, and assist with general facility upkeep. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, with ability to travel between park locations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating grounds equipment and basic irrigation systems.
• Knowledge of landscaping, irrigation practices, and routine grounds maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor irrigation repairs.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for routine facility upkeep.
• Inspect equipment and recognize unsafe operating conditions.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and adjust to priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site landscaping including lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, and irrigation systems.
• Mow, edge, prune, weed, and mulch as needed.
• Operate grounds equipment and perform basic inspections.
• Assist with grounds treatments and seasonal park projects.
• Keep entrances, walkways, pool decks, and exterior areas clean and safe.
• Perform pool cleaning and light facility upkeep as assigned.
• Support with moving, setting up, and storing equipment for events.
• Observe for unsafe conditions and report to maintenance leadership.
