Echo State Park near Coalville, Utah, seeks a Buildings and Grounds Supervisor I to lead maintenance staff and oversee facilities, grounds, trails, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, high-quality visitor experience.

The role offers opportunities to manage projects, operate heavy equipment, coordinate budgets, and maintain park facilities. A valid driver’s license is required; CDL or related certifications are preferred. Travel or on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum day-one qualifications include dependability, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
• Experience in facility operations, construction, grounds maintenance, and park infrastructure upkeep.
• Supervisory experience including assigning work, training staff, and evaluating performance.
• Strong mechanical skills with equipment such as small engines, mowers, hydraulics, ATVs/UTVs, and heavy equipment.
• Effective communication, organizational, and computer skills, including budget management.

Responsabilités

• Supervise maintenance staff and daily work assignments.
• Plan and coordinate facility, grounds, trail, and infrastructure maintenance projects.
• Perform and oversee construction, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and landscaping work.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment, vehicles, hand tools, and power tools.
• Inspect park facilities, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
