Job summary

Payson City is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Seasonal Worker to perform routine and skilled tasks in park and city grounds maintenance. Under supervision, you will assist with mowing, trimming, watering, pruning, and general upkeep of playgrounds, pavilions, trails, and athletic fields.

The role requires valid driving privileges, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather. Experience preferred but not required; on-site work in Payson, Utah.

Qualifications

• Experience in care and maintenance of parks or athletic fields preferred but not required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; Utah license within 60 days of hire.
• Knowledge of groundskeeping practices, safety procedures and basic irrigation.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and perform manual labor in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform general grounds cleaning, trash removal, sweeping, and raking.
• Keep park facilities, grounds, buildings, and trails neat, clean and safe.
• Mow, weed, trim, rake, mulch, seed, and water park grounds and landscape beds.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities; assist with painting as needed.
• Maintain records of work performed, tools used, and maintenance activities.
