Job summary

The City of Allen is seeking a full-time Electrical Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across parks, athletic facilities, and city buildings. You will inspect components, troubleshoot outages, and ensure reliable operation of power equipment.

You must read blueprints and adhere to NEC and safety policies, perform preventive maintenance, support events, and keep accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of relevant experience.
• Possess Journeyman Electrician License.
• Safe driving record and Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in parks, facilities, and buildings.
• Maintains lighting, panels, wiring, and electrical equipment; performs preventive maintenance.
• Reads blueprints and ensures compliance with NEC and local codes.
• Responds to outages and emergencies; documents work orders and maintains records.
• Assists with electrical installations for events and special programs.
