Job summary

Forsyth County's Parks and Recreation Department at Tanglewood Park is seeking a motivated Custodian for a part-time, year-round role.

The position requires weekend and holiday availability with shift times across spring to winter. Candidates should have knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment, the ability to follow schedules, and strong customer service skills to interact with the public.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment used in custodial work.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet sweepers and speed buffing machines.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and routines for periodic cleaning of all facilities.
• Ability to observe and report needs for supplies in a timely manner.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
• The candidate selected must have great customer service skills and be able to communicate well with the public.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Six months previous custodial experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning schedules and routines for periodic cleaning of all facilities.
• Maintain clean and safe spaces in assigned facilities.
• Communicate needs for supplies and maintenance to supervisor.
• Provide friendly customer service to the public during duties.
