NBCUniversal's theme parks, including Universal Studios, offer a fast-paced culinary role where you set up stations, prepare orders, and maintain strict sanitation standards to deliver high-quality dishes and memorable guest experiences.

As a Theme Park Cook, you will work in a dynamic team environment, follow recipes, handle guest preferences, and contribute to a clean, safe kitchen and outdoor work settings, with opportunities for growth and recognition.

Responsibilities

  • Set up stations according to restaurant guidelines and restock throughout shift.
  • Prepare orders according to guest preferences using established recipes, portions, and methods.
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow safety and sanitation standards.
  • Provide extraordinary guest service for internal and external guests.
  • Ensure safety practices and department standards are maintained.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts professionally to maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Create a welcoming guest experience for all ages.
  • Promote trust and integrity for a safe and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up stations according to USH restaurant guidelines and restock all items as needed throughout shift.
  • Prepare orders according to the guest preference using established recipes, portions and methods established by the Company in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean work area, including the washing of dishes, pots, pans and other kitchen items while following established safety standards and safe food handling guidelines.
  • Promote and provide extraordinary guest service for both internal and external guests; answer questions, offer information, and provide assistance in a courteous manner.
  • Understands and demonstrates the proper use of safety practices and ensures department standards are maintained and safety policies for the Park upheld.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for both team members and guests of all ages, following all company guidelines and protocols.
  • Identify, de-escalate, and resolve conflicts or disturbances professionally and effectively to maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Provide a positive and welcoming experience for guests of all ages while maintaining composure during difficult interactions.
  • Maintain a high level of trust and integrity to promote a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues of all ages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Previous Culinary Experience Preferred but not required
  • Culinary Degree Preferred but not required
Job Demands:
  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs with assistance
  • The noise level is generally moderate to high
  • Team Members are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather. Depending on the assigned location, work can be almost exclusively outdoors
Schedule:
  • Must be available to work at least 4 days per week throughout the peak seasons to include a rotation of mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Pay:
  • $23 per hour
