Job summary

City of Omaha, NE is seeking a Park Caretaker II for Park District 4. The role oversees care, custody, and cleaning of parks and recreation facilities, with live-in options for quarters when provided, and 24-hour on-call status during working days.

Requires 2 years in minor park maintenance, CDL B with N endorsement or learner’s permit, pesticide applicator certificate, hoisting certificate, and forklift cert by probation end. Pay ranges from $18.17 to $24.93 hourly with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of park equipment maintenance experience.
• Valid CDL with N endorsement or CDL learner’s permit.
• State certification: pesticide applicator by end of probation.
• Hoisting/portable engineer certificate by end of probation.
• Forklift operator certificate by end of probation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee care, custody, and cleaning of park facilities.
• supervise staff and direct daily park operations.
• Enforce park rules and resolve patron issues.
• Record maintenance activities and prepare reports.
• Perform minor repairs and supervise safety compliance.
