Job summary

The Holy Innocents Food Pantry at the parish seeks a dedicated coordinator to oversee outreach efforts in collaboration with the pastor, staff, and Outreach committee.

This role recruits and trains volunteers, coordinates food drives, manages donations and budget, maintains client records, and ensures compliance with safety and state guidelines while representing the pantry at community events.

Qualifications

• Experience in food pantry operations or volunteer coordination.
• Strong organizational skills and clear communication.
• Food handler’s certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability Monday through Wednesday.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers to staff all phases of the pantry operations.
• Develop relationships with local food outlets and donors to secure food and donations.
• Oversee volunteer recognition and recruit a core group for community events.
• Ensure pantry is adequately staffed, stocked, cleaned, and ready for use and other ministries afterward.
• Monitor the pantry budget and donations, and report on financial status.
