Job summary

Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Johns Island seeks a Parish Business Manager to oversee end-to-end parish business operations, ensuring financial integrity, risk management, and compliance with diocesan guidelines. This exempt, full-time role reports to the Pastor and requires working from the parish office.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, payroll, vendor contracts, and capital campaigns, with collaboration across diocesan resources and parish leadership to support the Church’s mission.

Qualifications

• Extensive business management and financial process management experience; CPA preferred.
• Non-profit or church administration experience strongly valued.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field plus years of nonprofit experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage annual operating budget and oversee bookkeeping and AR/AP.
• Oversee payroll and HR processes for parish staff and related compliance.
• Supervise vendor contracts and facilities maintenance spending; monitor financial compliance.
• Support capital campaigns and parish foundation matters (e.g., Paraclete Foundation).
• Provide monthly financial reporting to Pastor and Finance Council.
