Job summary

The Archdiocese of Chicago invites applications for the Finance and Operations Director at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity.

The OD will lead the parish and school’s financial management, budgets, reports, and internal controls, and oversee facilities and capital projects. You will manage HR, payroll, vendor relations, and communications with the Parish Finance Council and School Board, while upholding Catholic mission and values.

Qualifications

• Catholic and supportive of Catholic teachings.
• Experience in Accounting, Finance within not-for-profit preferred.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
• Strong leadership and HR policy experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, evaluates, and communicates parish budgets, annual reports, profit & loss, balance sheet, accounts receivable/payable, and general ledger.
• Develops monthly variance reports and reforecasts; reviews with Pastor/Principal.
• Ensures proper internal controls and acts as Parish representative to banks.
• Oversees payroll, vendor relations, and capital projects; supports School Board as needed.
• Coordinates with Parish Finance Council and School Board; manages HR and parish office staff.
